Fix Windows Update Error 80072EE2 (Step by Step)



While attempting updates, if you meet error 80072EE2, don’t worry. You can use the top two fixes here to solve the problem. The steps apply to Windows 10, 7, 8, 8.1.

Fix 1: Run Windows Update Troubleshooter

Windows Update troubleshooter will detect the problem and solve it if it is detected. You just need to run the troubleshooter. Follow steps below:

1. Open Control Panel.

2. View by Small icons, select Troubleshooting.


3. Under System and Security, click Fix problems with Windows Update.


4. Click Next.


Then the troubleshooter will start detecting problems.


If Windows Update troubleshooter doesn’t fix the error, use Fix 2.

Fix 2: Remove Problem Windows Update Contents and Registry Keys

The error can be caused by corrupted files and registry keys. If that’s the case, you can delete the problem files and keys. Deleting registry keys incorrectly may cause serious problem. Before you do that, it is recommended that you back up the registry keys. Then you can restore the deleted registry keys if you need. See How to Back Up and Restore Registry.

Then follow steps below:
1. Press Win+R (Windows logo key and R key) at the same time. A Run dialog box will open.

2. Type services.msc in the run box and click OK button.

3. Find Windows Update service. Right-click on it and click Stop on the context menu.


4. Open C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and delete all contents there.

5. Restart Windows Update service. Right-click on Windows Update service and click Start.

6. Open Run dialog box again. Type regedit in the run box and click OK. This is to open Registry Editor.

7. In Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate.

8. In the right-pane, you will see keys WUServer and WUStatusServer. Right-click on each and select Delete.

9. Open Services again. Check if Windows Update service is started. If it is Stopped, start it.

1.     Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.

2.     In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.

3.     When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.

4.     At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off, and then press Enter.

5.     Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.

To make hibernation available, follow these steps:

1.     Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.

2.     In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.

3.     When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.

4.     At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate on, and then press Enter.

5.     Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.

• shutdown -l — logoff
• shutdown -t xx — where xx is number of seconds to wait till shutdown/restart/logoff

1. Windows+R tuşlarına basarak çalıştır'ı açın.

2. msconfig yazıp enter'a basın.

3. hizmetler bölümünde "tüm microsoft hizmetlerini gizle" kutucuğunu tıklayın.

4. kalan tüm bileşenleri "tümünü devre dışı bırak" seçeneği ile "durduruldu" haline getirin.

5. uygula deyin ve bilgisayarı yeniden başlatın.

6. windowsupdate'ten güncellemeleri yükleyin (kb2770917de dahil olmak üzere, bende 2 tane vardı.)

7. bilgisayarı yeniden başlattığınızda güncellemenin %15'te takılmadığını ve başarıyla tamamlandığını göreceksiniz.

8. yeniden başlattıktan sonra tekrar msconfig'e girerek daha önce durdurduğunuz tüm progRamları başlatın.

9. bilgisayarınızı son kez açıp kapattığınızda güncellemeyi sorunsuz yüklemiş olacaksınız.

Windows 7 için dil dosyaları Ultimate ve Enterprise sürümleri içindir, diğer sürümler için bir dil dosyası eklemeyi desteklememektedir.Fakat aşağıdaki işlemler ile cihazı türkçeye çevirebilirsiniz.

Öncelikle türkçe dil paketini microsofttan çekmeniz gerekmektedir.

Dosyayı indirdikten sonra çalıştırın lp.cap dosyasının ismini 5 sn içinde değiştirmeniz lazım aksi takdirde kaybolacaktır.
Önce 1 diye yeniden adlandırın daha sonra lp yapabilirsiniz.Dosyayı C:\ klasörüne atabilirsiniz.Daha sonra aşağıdaki cmd komut satırındaki (Admin yetkisi ile açılacaktır) komutları sırasıyla yazarak devam ediyoruz.

DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:lp.cab
Yukarıdaki komutu yazdığınızda biraz beklemeniz gerekecektir.

Daha sonra aşağıdaki komutları yazalım.

bcdedit /set {current} locale tr-TR
Yukarıdaki komutu yazdığınızda işlem başarıyla tamamlandı diyecektir.
bcdboot %WinDir% /l tr-TR
Yukarıdaki komutu yazdığınızda önyükleme dosyaları başarıyla oluşturuldu diyecektir.

Bundan sonra pencereyi kapatabilirsiniz.

Daha sonra Başlat / Çalıştır / regedit.exe komutu ile kayıt defterini açıyoruz.

>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SYSTEM->CurrentControlSet->Control->MUI->UILanguages

Yukarıdaki bölümde yer lan yerde siz en-US yer alan yerde sağ tıklayarak ver yada export ederek eski ingilizce olan register ayarlarımızı bir yere kaydedelim.Çünkü bu klasoru sileceğiz.
Sildikten sonra makinayı restart edelim.Sisteminiz türkçeye dönmüş olacaktır.

Tekrar ingilizceye dönmek isterseniz regedit bölümünden aynı bölüme gelip Dosya bölümünde register import etmeniz ve tr silmemiz gerekecektir.
